Fragrance

Jack is a dark autumn fragrance built around bourbon pumpkin spice, sandalwood, whisky, oakmoss, cedarwood, bergamot, patchouli and tobacco.

Both the shaving soap and aftershave are fragranced at an overall 7% scent load.

Jack Shaving Soap

Ingredients

Stearic Acid, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Bubalus Bubalis Milk, Aqua, Glycerin, Duck Fat, Bison Tallow, Beef Tallow, Parfum, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Lanolin, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Dimethicone, Hydrolyzed Silk.

Potassium Hydroxide and Sodium Hydroxide are used during the saponification process.

Fragrance Allergens

Based on the fragrance composition and supplier allergen documentation available for the materials used in Jack, the following fragrance allergens are present at levels requiring declaration for a rinse-off cosmetic:

Acetyl Cedrene, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamal, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Oil, Evernia Prunastri (Oakmoss) Extract, Hexamethylindanopyran, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Pinene, Pogostemon Cablin Oil and Tetramethyl Acetyloctahydronaphthalenes.

Jack Aftershave

Ingredients

Aqua, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Parfum, Polysorbate 20, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

Polysorbate 20 is used to solubilize the fragrance. The preservation system is Liquid Germall Plus.

Fragrance Allergens

Because aftershave is a leave-on cosmetic, a lower fragrance-allergen declaration threshold applies. Based on the fragrance composition and available supplier documentation, the following fragrance allergens require declaration:

Acetyl Cedrene, Alpha-Terpinene, Amyl Salicylate, Benzaldehyde, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Beta-Caryophyllene, Cinnamal, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Oil, Evernia Prunastri (Oakmoss) Extract, Geraniol, Geranyl Acetate, Hexamethylindanopyran, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Linalyl Acetate, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium / Citrus Sinensis (Orange) Peel Oil, Pinene, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Rose Ketones / Damascones, Terpineol, Terpinolene and Tetramethyl Acetyloctahydronaphthalenes.

The fragrance allergen information above is calculated from supplier documentation for the fragrance materials used to create Jack and their concentration in the finished cosmetic.

Jack also contains oakmoss supplied as a dilution in perfumer's alcohol. A separate supplier allergen declaration for this oakmoss material is not currently available. Because oakmoss is a known component of the formula, Evernia Prunastri (Oakmoss) Extract has been disclosed accordingly.
