At First Canadian Shave, we believe customers should have clear access to information about the ingredients used in our products. This page provides an expanded ingredient and fragrance disclosure for Obsidian Orchid Tallow Shaving Soap and Aftershave.

Fragrance

Obsidian Orchid is fragranced with a commercially manufactured third-party fragrance oil and is listed in the ingredient declarations as Parfum (Fragrance).

The fragrance concentration in both the Tallow Shaving Soap and Aftershave is approximately 10% of the finished product.

The fragrance supplier does not provide First Canadian Shave with a detailed fragrance-allergen declaration identifying the individual allergenic constituents and their concentrations. Because that information has not been supplied, we do not attempt to calculate, estimate, or assume individual fragrance-allergen percentages.

Fragrance Allergen Statement

Potassium Stearate, Sodium Stearate, Potassium Castorate, Sodium Castorate, Potassium Beef Tallowate, Sodium Beef Tallowate, Potassium Bison Tallowate, Sodium Bison Tallowate, Potassium Duck Tallowate, Sodium Duck Tallowate, Parfum (Fragrance), Potassium Cocoate, Sodium Cocoate, Potassium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Potassium Shea Butterate, Sodium Shea Butterate, Potassium Lanolate, Sodium Lanolate, Bubalus Bubalis (Buffalo) Milk, Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Sodium Lactate, Dimethicone, Hydrolyzed Silk.

Ingredient order reflects the formulation and the comparatively high fragrance concentration used in this product.

Aftershave

Fragrance Load: approximately 10%

Ingredients (INCI)

Aqua (Water), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Polysorbate 20, Parfum (Fragrance), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

Polysorbate 20 is used to help disperse the fragrance throughout the water-based aftershave. Diazolidinyl Urea and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate are components of the broad-spectrum preservative system.

Sensitivity & Use

Fragrance materials, botanical ingredients, lanolin, and other cosmetic ingredients may cause irritation or sensitivity in susceptible individuals.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation develops. If you have known fragrance or cosmetic ingredient allergies, review the ingredient declaration carefully and perform a small-area patch test before regular use.
